BASIC PATTERN

Count five eighth notes as 2 + 3: Dum–rest, Tek–rest–Tek. Play Dum on count 1 and Tek on 3 and 5. Basic follows MaqamWorld; Classic adds light Ka fills while keeping the three main strokes. Keep the final group of three even before returning to Dum.
